STG International, Inc is currently seeking a qualified Full-Time OB/GYN Physician to work in Oak Harbor, WA. Duties/Responsibilities: Providing OB-GYN Clinic services, the HCWs shall also serve as the primary referral physician for all house staff consults for women's health issues. While on duty within the Mother Infant Unit (MIU), the HCW shall provide inpatient obstetrical and gynecological medical and surgical care and procedures including gynecological surgery, spontaneous and operative obstetric deliveries. Respond to all stat or immediate requests for consultations from house staff consistent with the practice of obstetrics and gynecology, minimizing staff and patient inconvenience and according to Naval Hospital directives and instructions. Arrange for the admission of obstetrics and gynecology patients to the Naval Hospital and act as attending physician. Rotate primary on-call services daily, including weekends and the day of observance of Federal holidays. Call will be evenly distributed between all contract providers. While providing on-call services, the physician shall serve as the primary on-call clinician for all house staff women's health issues. Conditions for in-house response to patient care issues are detailed herein. (b) The circumstances that require call back of the on-call physician will be the prerogative of the Commanding Officer or designated representative. However, for all routine vaginal deliveries, the attending physician shall be present. Obstetricians will live within a geographic radius that allows a 30-minute response time from decision to incision (the performance of a Cesarean section delivery). (c) Assignment of on-call services will be scheduled 2 weeks in advance. Changes are permitted only with the expressed prospective approval of Head, Women's Health Services or his/her designated representative. (d) A beeper may be issued to assist on-call services. Replacement costs for lost or stolen beepers shall be borne by the Contractor. (e) The HCW may perform their on-call duties within the facility. The Government will provide accommodations for the HCW's use if on-board duty is either desired or required; as determined by the acuity of the patient. Providers authorized to prescribe pharmaceuticals shall do so according to the availability of drugs listed therein. The Government reserves the right to substitute generic medications for those prescribed by the HCW. Pharmaceuticals shall only be dispensed to authorized beneficiaries of the Military Health System. Unauthorized prescribing may be grounds for revocation of clinical privileges. Provide clinical direction and teach other staff, provide educational lectures and participate in in-service training to staff members, students, and/or volunteers. This includes providing input to supervisors for training evaluations of students and volunteers assigned to the Women's Health Service. Such direction and interaction will conform with government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols. Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling. STG is an EOE employer.
